At the children’s home they are regularly visited by local police officers and so that wouldn’t usually cause a stir, but on Thursday over 30 police officers from Kira Police station and headquarters paid them a visit. It was Police week, and so they wanted to give back to the community and decided to appreciate the home for the good partnership that exists to serve the orphans and vulnerable children of the area.
Among the items brought by the police for the home were maize snacks, sugar, snacks, biscuits, toilet paper, washing powder, soap, bread, sodas, and more. It was overwhelming for the house mothers to see the police giving back to the children – everyone was very excited!!
