In Memory of Kempy!
On 8th October, friends and family gathered to celebrate the life of Andy Kemp by playing a charity game of football - one of Andy’s passions - and to raise funds for Ty Cariad Africa - another of Andy’s passions.
The target was to raise £900 so that much needed repairs and redecoration of Faith House could take place.
Back in 2012, Andy helped get Faith House ready for occupancy. He painted, put curtain poles and curtains up, assembled beds, organised the painting of the furniture, helped clean the kitchen ready for use, and anything else that he possibly could do, he did with a smile on his face.
The impact that Andy had on people was evident by the amount raised - a staggering £2,527.74!
This meant that not ony would we be able to complete the work planned for Faith House, but that we would also be able to complete much needed maintenance and painting on other parts of the site, such as the boundary wall. Thank you!!
