From Separation to Celebration

Even though the funds we raise help support a Children's Home, Ty Cariad Africa and Victory Child Care Project strongly believe that every child should have the opportunity to grow up in family-based care whenever possible.

Every effort is made to trace, reconnect, and reunify children with their families and extended communities when it is deemed beneficial for the child's well-being. Where this is not possible, suitable foster placements are sought.

In February, Victory Child Care Project invited 16 children and young adults who used to live at the Children's Home to come and celebrate the success of the reunification and fostering programme. The 16 who attended represented all who have been successfully reunified or fostered!

They all thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Home, and for many, it was great to catch up with old friends.

As part of the reunification or foster placement process, quite often we have to continue to support their education costs either in whole or part. When children are reunified or fostered, we look for sponsors to support them, and as part of the sponsorship programme, they receive termly reports for their sponsored child.

Read below how your support has made a difference in the lives of some of these children.
