A Christmas Party - or two

On the previous post, Merry Christmas - part 1, I mentioned that we went over budget for Christmas and the reason for it was, the Christmas Party.

As you can imagine, due to Coronavirus, costs have increased this year, and instead of travelling to the party, the party had to come to the children. That said, as most of the children have not left the grounds of the Children’s Home since March 20th, they deserved to have the best party possible.

So the line-up for the party included:- 2 bouncing castles; a trampoline; other games; loud music; dancing; face painting; a clown; a visit from Father Christmas; a puppet show; matching t-shirts with the Home’s logo on it; chicken, chips, rice and chapati; Christmas decorations; snacks, sodas, and a Christmas cake!!

Originally this was all due to happen on one day, but due to a mix up, the food arrived the day before the party! This, as it worked out, was perfect timing as it meant that the children were able to enjoy a full day of play and activities without overfull stomachs! So, a total of a day and a half of Christmas Parties, and children and staff thoroughly enjoyed!

Day 1 - Food, t-shirts and dancing

What a treat - being served, no preparation, no cooking, and no washing up!
